Supplier quality: how Creaform and its CMM are helping IBM

Creaform is recognized worldwide for its innovative technologies, but is also a leader in 3D measuring. The company employs several experienced metrologists and uses the most advanced measuring systems on the market. Num_I_Image 1_Blogue

As for the leader in computer-related products IBM, the company wanted to guarantee the quality of the server parts manufactured by its suppliers and part compliance to its plan and specifications, since both factors are essential to a smooth assembly process. IBM’s qualification method involved measuring of geometrical entities on mechanical parts, and the company was looking for a partner specialized in metrology that would be able to implement a reliable measuring process, and could subsequently carry out the “supplier” parts inspection based on that process. The people from Creaform’s Scan & Inspection department answered “Present”!
